Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 설치 요구 조건

•프로세서:
Minimum: x64 processor with Hardware-assisted virtualization. This is available in processors that include a virtualization option; specifically, Intel VT or AMD Virtualization.
Hardware Data Execution Protection (DEP) must be available and be enabled. Specifically, you must enable Intel XD bit (execute disable bit) or AMD NX bit (no execute bit).

Minimum: 1 GB MB RAM; Recommended: 2+ GB RAM
Maximum (64-bit systems): 1TB

New Feature in Hyper-v server 2008 R2

Hyper-v server 2008 R2는 Windows server 2008 R2의 한 파트인 Hyper-V와 동일한 기능들을 포함 하고 있습니다. 현재 Hyper-V Server R2에 포함 된 새로운 기능은 아래와 같습니다.

Failover Clustering: 처음 출시 된 Hyper-v server 2008에서는 Failover clustering을 지원 하지 않았지만 R2에서는 지원 합니다.

Live migration: Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2에서는 Live migration 가능합니다. 사용자들은  실행 중인 어플리케이션을 서비스의 interruption 이 없이 라이브 마이그레이션을 할 수 있습니다.

Processor and memory support: Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 은 8-socket physical systems을 지원합니다.그리고32-cores까지 지원합니다. 그리고 Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2는 1TB 의 RAM을 지원합니다.

Updated Server Configuration Utility:  Hyper-V Configuration Utility (HVConfig)이 R2에 릴리즈 되었습니다. 이것은  Server Configuration Utility (SConfig) 에서 이름이 변경 된 것이며Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 와 Windows Server 2008 R2 Server Core에서도 사용됩니다. R2 의 새로운 구성configuration option은 아래와 같습니다.

Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 Management

Hyper-V Server는 GUI를 제공하지 않습니다. 대신에 commnad line 기반의 UI를 제공 하여 사용자들이 쉽게 서버를 구성 할 수 있도록 하였습니다.

그러나 아래와 같이 Windows server 2008이나 Windows 7에서 MMC를 이용해서 관리를 할 수 있습니다.

• Remotely from Windows Server 2008 R2 RC (x86/x64) using the Hyper-V Manager MMC
• Remotely from Windows 7 using the Hyper-V Manager MMC (included in the Windows 7 Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT)).
• Remotely from System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 RC.
